This practical beta privacy policy explains how CarLoop handles information during TestFlight and private beta testing. It is not final legal advice and may be updated before public launch.
Information We Collect
During the beta, CarLoop may collect information needed to operate and support the app, including:
- Account and contact data, such as name, email address, phone number, and account settings.
- Booking data, such as requested dates, reservation status, vehicle references, and related activity.
- Vehicle and partner data, such as listing details, partner profile information, readiness status, and vehicle photos.
- Messages exchanged in connection with bookings or support.
- Uploaded photos or evidence if a beta feature asks you to provide them for a vehicle, booking, incident, or support case.
- Payment status and payment processor data, such as authorization, capture, refund, or failed payment status. CarLoop does not ask you to provide raw card numbers in the app.
- Device, app log, crash, diagnostic, and support data used to troubleshoot beta issues.
How We Use Information
We use beta information to create and manage accounts, show vehicles, support booking requests and reservations, help partners manage listings and requests, process support cases, investigate crashes or app issues, prevent misuse, and improve the product before launch.
Payments
Payments are handled by a payment processor. The processor may collect and process payment details according to its own terms and privacy notices. CarLoop may receive payment status, transaction references, and related support information, but does not sell payment data.
Sharing
We may share information when needed to operate the beta, such as between renters and vehicle partners for a booking, with service providers that host or support CarLoop, with payment processors, or when required to respond to legal, safety, fraud, or support issues. We do not sell user data.
Retention and Security
We keep beta information for as long as needed to operate, secure, debug, and support CarLoop, and to prepare for launch. We use practical technical and organizational measures to protect beta data, but no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Choices
You can contact us to ask beta privacy questions, request help with account information, or report a privacy concern. Some beta data may need to be retained for booking, payment, safety, fraud prevention, accounting, or support reasons.
